Stage 1: Logging into your Google account

OBJECTIVES:
1. Log into your Google account 2. Locate your Google Drive. (This is where you will manage your Google Doc's.) 3. Locate your Gmail inbox. (This is where you will set up your forwarding options in Stage 2.) |
Stage 3: Google Drive Navigation
OBJECTIVES:
1. Watch video and absorb as much information as possible. (Most of what is shown will be covered more carefully in the next few stages.) |
Stage 4: Creating Document and Formatting
OBJECTIVES:
1. Create a document and label it "(Your Last Name) Google Training" 2. Type up a goal for the school year (in one sentence). 3. Change the font size to "16". 4. Change the font type to "Impact". |
Stage 5: Sharing Your Document
OBJECTIVES:
1. Share your document "(Your Last Name) Google Training" with a partner next to you. 2. Give your partner "View Only" access when sharing. |
Stage 6: Finding Created and Shared Documents
OBJECTIVES:
1. Locate the "(Your Last Name) Google Training" document that your partner has shared with you. 2. Check to see if you can edit the document. (If they properly completed Stage 5, you should not be able to.) |
Stage 7: Creating a Folder
OBJECTIVES:
1. Create a folder in "My Drive". Name it: "(Your Last Name)". 2. Move your "(Your Last Name) Google Training" document that you created in Stage 4 into your new folder. |
Stage 8: Printing Google Documents
OBJECTIVES:
1. Open and print your document "(Your Last Name) Google Training" to the nearest printer. |
Introduction Level focuses on general information on how to log into your Google Drive and give you a tour of the basic setup of the Drive (or main) page. You will also learn how to create documents and share them with others.

Intermediate Level is a Google Drive refresher course that focuses on managing your Google Drive. You will learn how to add folders, share folders, create groups, upload and delete files from "My Drive".

Advanced Level explores other Google applications that can be useful in your classroom. Prior knowledge of basic Google functionality is suggested before use.

YouTube Introduction will show you how to set up your YouTube accounts so that you can share videos with students and teachers.

Google Calendar is an application that teachers can use for class calendars and students can manage all of their classes from one calendar.
